While Australia is renowned for the hundreds of different species of eucalyptus that naturally thrive here, very few can be used to produce high quality natural eucalyptus oil straight from the tree.
With up to 90-95% cineole concentration, Kochii Eucalyptus Oil is thus recognized as the richest, and most pure eucalyptus oil ever known. This makes it powerful in a variety of traditional domestic uses of eucalyptus oil, including:
1. Colds, Flu & Sinus Infections
If you have a cold, sinus infection, or other difficulty with congestion, an Epsom salt and eucalyptus oil bath can help loosen congestion and clear sinuses. In a bowl, combine 2 cups of Epsom salt with 10 drops of Kochii Eucalyptus Oil. Add Epsom salt mixture to a bath, and fill with warm water. Soak for 20 minutes, inhaling the cool and invigorating aroma.
2. Respiratory Problems
Treat respiratory problems, such as asthma and bronchitis, by mixing Kochii Eucalyptus Oil with coconut oil. Rub into skin on your upper chest, and breathe deeply.
3. Wound Treatment
Cineole has antiseptic and germicidal qualities, and can be used to alleviate pain and soothe burns, stings, wounds, ulcers, cuts and sores. Combine 2 drops of Kochii Eucalyptus Oil with 1 teaspoon of carrier oil (such as coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, almond oil or grape seed oil), and apply to a burn or insect bite.
4. Insect Repellent
In a clean, 8 ounce spray bottle add 4 ounces of distilled or boiled water, and 3 ounces of witch hazel. Add 10 drops of Kochii Eucalyptus Oil, to equal amounts of lavender and tea tree. It smells great and helps keep mosquitoes and other biting insects at bay.
5. Hair Care
Add a few drops of Kochii Eucalyptus Oil to some coconut oil, and massage through your hair. This both moisturises and replenishes, and can ease dandruff and an itchy scalp.
Wipe down surfaces and fabrics (such as dog beds, couches, blankets and rugs) with a rag soaked in a Kochii Eucalyptus solution. Leave to dry in the sun for a fresh, odour-free home!
7. Natural Cleaner
Add two teaspoons of Kochii Eucalyptus Oil and a teaspoon of detergent to a spray bottle of water. Spray onto hard surfaces and wipe to remove dirt and grease and leave a fresh Kochii scent.
8. Air Freshener
Add Kochii Eucalyptus Oil to a household diffuser and let the fragrance permeate the room. Alternatively, add two teaspoons to a spray bottle of water and mist around your house or office.
9. Adhesive & Spot Removal
Apply Kochii Eucalyptus Oil directly to stubborn adhesive residue or spot stains. Try it first on an inconspicuous area to check for adverse reactions.
